The Rosa and Thanksgiving: Designing with the Sink in Mind
At Sinkology, we pride ourselves on helping you make your house a home all year round. But during the holidays, we feel a special pride knowing that our copper sinks are playing such a huge role in your kitchen. Whether you’re prepping or cleaning up, our copper sinks are there to handle your toughest jobs, and looking great while doing so.
For this edition of Designing with the sink in mind, we took it one step further. One question we get from customers is how they can decorate with copper beyond the kitchen. We put together a warm and fun Thanksgiving table setting with items from Target to help show you how easy it can be to pull copper, brass, and even nickel into your every day and holiday decor.
Mixed metal decor is a great way to tie your decor back to your copper sink, and there are loads of options for mixed metal decorating right now. We found everything on this kitchen table in these photos and this video at Target. From hammered coasters, to copper salt and pepper shakers, to brass flatware, you can make mixed metal decor striking and affordable at the same time. In our place settings, we incorporated autumnal colors with the mixed metals and used rough spun fabrics on this beautiful wooden table. The table itself is built from wormy chestnut reclaimed barnwood from a farm in West Virginia. The red hues of the table help to accentuate the copper tones and fall oranges and yellows used in the tablescape.
Go nuts with the different metals and tones. The more types of metal and the more textures of the metal will really make the design seem intentional and complete. You can always use a few metals here and there in your decor, but we chose to make the metals the main focus to call back to the Rosa drop-in copper kitchen sink.
For this holiday season, we’re also launching a new and improved version of the Kahlo drop in sink called the Rosa. This new copper sink comes with rounded edges and clips and hooks to help make your DIY installation of this copper kitchen sink that much easier. The Rosa also comes in the three- or four-hole version to provide you with the option of installing a hot water spigot or a soap pump that comes with a Pfister faucet like the one that comes in our design kit. It comes in our antique copper finish with a lifetime warranty.
During the holidays, we’ll also be running huge deals for Black Friday and Cyber Week to help you jumpstart your New Year’s remodeling plans! Check out all the deals here!
